38th Annual Awards Day and Speech Day

On the 9th and 12th of April, Tampines Secondary School proudly commemorated her 38th Annual Awards Day and Speech Day respectively. These significant events served as platforms to honour both academic and non-academic achievements, while providing opportunities for students to shine. This year's theme 'Growing Stronger Together, Excelling in Every Endeavour' embodies the collective spirit and determination of the Tampinesian community. It underscores the significance of unity and collaboration in pursuing excellence across all facets of school life. By fostering a culture of support and encouragement, Tampinesians can leverage their combined strengths to overcome challenges and achieve success together.

The Awards Day ceremony on April 9th was a moment of pride as more than 150 Tampinesians were recognised for their outstanding performances in academics achievement and character development. Students received prestigious accolades such as 'Top in Subject', 'First in Class', and 'ICARE' awards. Parents, teachers, and staff gathered to celebrate the achievements of these deserving students, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.

The Speech Day festivities commenced on April 12th with a grand parade square event, graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Suhaimi bin Rafdi, Director of Special Projects at People's Association and our School Advisory Committee Chairman. The Uniform Group contingents marched with precision, accompanied by the harmonious melodies of the Concert Band. The multi-purpose hall then hosted the awards presentation. Among the award recipients were Nurul Illyanis Binte Muhammad Khairul, who received the Tampinesian of the Year Award, Sharifah Nur Amanina Binte Syed Mohamad Shahab, who received the Sportsperson of the Year Award, and Myra Irysha Mohd Izam, who received the Artiste of the Year Award. These pinnacle awards highlight the winners' pursuit of excellence and serve as an inspiration to others.

Additionally, staff, parents, and alumni were recognised for their invaluable contributions to the school community. The Speech Day celebration was filled with joy and appreciation for the dedication displayed by all award recipients. The event also featured captivating performances by our talented Modern Chinese Dance, Malay Dance, Show Choir, Dance Dynamics, Concert Band, and DramaInk, showcasing the diversity and creativity within our school.
